Colour

All headwear photographs aim to show an accurate colour, due to differing technology set up, they may appear slightly different from the on-screen images. If you require a sample of the fabric used to create the headpiece/s you are interested in purchasing, if available I will gladly post you a sample. Contact me by telephone, email or use the contact form. I will need to know the name of the piece you are interested in, your full name and postal address. By submitting this information, you are agreeing to be added to the marketing list for Millinery by Cheryl Cizek. Individuals can unsubscribe at any time, via telephone, email, the contact form or in-person.

Product Queries

If you have questions regarding any details of my headwear, please do email me prior to purchase, I will gladly answer any questions you have and or send additional photographs.

Size

Every accuracy is taken when measuring products, actual size may be different by a very small margin.

Beading

Millinery by Cheryl Cizek makes every effort to attach beads securely to headwear. Please ensure care is taken to look after your headpiece. Due to the fragility of beading, I cannot take responsibility for breakage and loss of beads.

Bespoke/Custom Orders

I would love to make you a unique headpiece, I will require photographs of your outfit, accessories, and shoes. Once the request has been received, a meeting will be scheduled in-person, location dependant, or via zoom. I like to get to know a bit about you and the occasion the hat is going to be worn. It is always my aim that headwear created uniquely for you, reflects your personality and is suitable for the event.
If you have any thoughts on your requirements, note them down and email them to me. We can discuss them during the initial consultation.

During the initial consultation, a selection of designs will be discussed (normally 3). Once the design has been selected, a price will be agreed upon. Should you decide to engage my services after the consultation, I require 50% of the price paid, before I commence your order. The balance is paid on collection or prior to despatch. Should you change your mind or no longer require the bespoke order the 50% deposit is non-refundable.

In general, I ask for 6 – 8 weeks before the event to prepare your headwear, if you need something sooner than this, do reach out to me via telephone, email or use the contact form on my website. Depending on my commitments, I may be able to take on your commission. I prioritise my work on the basis of the date of your event. I will make every effort to ensure the bespoke/custom order reaches you in time for your event/deadline.

Note: All photos and ideas shared with you during the consultation process remain my intellectual property and they must not, under any circumstances, be shared, regardless of whether you place an order or not.

Packaging

The hat box supplied with your order is a basic box, which had been selected to keep my costs down, however should you require a sturdier traditional hat box, this can be arranged at an additional charge.

Hats for Hire

Deposit:

All hat hire requires a £50 refundable deposit, in addition to the hire fee. Once the hat has been returned undamaged and in it’s original condition with the packaging and hat box it was despatched in, the deposit will be refunded.

Hat Hire Terms & Conditions

You can book to hire a hat/ headpiece for a pre-arranged time, in accordance with our terms and conditions:

· The hat and any accessories remain the property of Millinery by Cheryl Cizek at all times.

· On collection, a return date will be agreed between Millinery by Cheryl Cizek and the client.

· The full hat hire fee is payable upon collection. In addition, a separate refundable deposit of £50 is required. Payment of the deposit will secure your hat for the required rental dates. This will be returned to you on receipt of the item, provided it is undamaged and returned in it’s original box.

· Millinery by Cheryl Cizek reserves the right to retain the full deposit if the item is returned marked or damaged in any way. This includes but is not limited to dents, holes, pen marks, make-up and rain marks. The hat should not come back smelling of smoke, perfume or hair products. If this happens the deposit would be retained.

· If the hat/accessory is damaged beyond repair, then the full purchase price must be paid by the hirer. The replacement cost will be entered in each individual contract.

· The late return of any item will be charged at a rate of £20.00 per day.

· We do not offer refunds if you don’t wear the hat for any reason including cancellation of event, illness or hat unsuitability.

Collection or Delivery:

Where possible hire hats are to be collected from my studio in Pinner, West London.

Should collection not be possible I can send hats in the post. A postage fee for this option will be payable, in addition to the hire cost and deposit. Following the event, it is the hirers responsibility to return the hat via post via Royal Mail 1st class Special delivery.

Proof of Identity:

Photo ID and proof of your home address must be sent to Millinery by Cheryl Cizek prior to collection or brought with you on the collection day. If you are having your hat posted the proof of identity must be received prior to the agreed postage date. Without this, the selected hat release will be delayed.

Workshops

Individual places/Group bookings can only be guaranteed once full payment is received. A confirmation of booking email, will be sent to confirm the reservation.

Cancellation Policy: Up to 14 days prior to workshop date 50% refund given, within 14 days no refund applicable.

Cancellation by Millinery by Cheryl Cizek due to minimum numbers not being achieved will be advised 7 days prior to the workshop date.

Should the workshop be cancelled by Millinery by Cheryl Cizek, an alternative date will be offered or a full refund is given.

Millinery by Cheryl Cizek will not accept responsibility for any inappropriate behaviour, you may be asked to leave the workshop in this occurrence. No refund will be issued should this situation occur.

Gift Vouchers (Workshops)

Presentation gift certificate issued for all purchases  

Additional dates will be added in line with numbers purchased, should the current venue not be able to accommodate, an alternative venue nearby will be used.  

Redeemable by expiry date on voucher, 3 months from gift date (To be entered by Cheryl Cizek Millinery at time of purchase)

 Gift Voucher recipient books workshop directly via:  

Email, Telephone or the contact page on the website

When booking the following must be quoted from the voucher:   

Gift voucher reference number  

Email address of the purchaser of the gift voucher  

The date you would like to attend the workshop 

Places are not confirmed until booking email has been received from Millinery by Cheryl Cizek

For purchases not made in-person, gift certificate/s are dispatched within 72 hours of payment being received. Sent via 2nd class recorded delivery, tracking number provided.  

Cancelation of a confirmed workshop booking by the attendee: 

Up to 7 days prior to the workshop date, a new date can be booked within the expiry date of the voucher 

Within 7 Days of the workshop date, no refund and no alternative date is offered, unless an exceptional circumstance is encountered 

Should the workshop be cancelled by Millinery by Cheryl Cizek, an alternative date will be offered

No refunds given on gift voucher purchases  

Hat Parties

To secure the time and date of your Hat Party a £50 deposit is required. This will be deducted from the cost of the host’s (or attendee nominated by the host) first bespoke order/purchase from Millinery by Cheryl Cizek. In the event, no sales are made the deposit is non-refundable.

Once payment has been received a confirmation email will be sent by Millinery by Cheryl Cizek to confirm the booking.

To ensure further discounts are applied, to the host or one attendee nominated by the host, first headwear purchase from Millinery by Cheryl Cizek, names and contact details of all attendees will be taken. These will be securely stored in line with data protection policy. The collected contacts will be added to the marketing list for Millinery by Cheryl Cizek. Individuals can unsubscribe at any time via telephone, email, the contact form. If you do not wish to be added to the marketing list, please advise me at the hat party.

Cancellation Policy:

Host: Up to 14 days prior to party date 50% refund given, within 14 days no refund applicable.

Millinery by Cheryl Cizek: In the unfortunate event the hat party, be cancelled by Millinery by Cheryl Cizek, an alternative date will be offered. Should a new date not be mutually suitable for both parties a full refund issued.

Delivery

Packaging

In line with my wish to be as sustainable as possible as a business, outer packaging may consist of recycled elements This does not impact the joy experienced when receiving your headwear, the inner packing is bespoke and designed to be kept and be used to store your purchase in.

Despatch

All pieces are checked before they are sent to ensure they are in perfect condition. I sincerely hope the purchased product/s meets your expectations, as my products are mainly handmade there may be minor imperfections, of course, this is avoided where possible. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within 3 days of delivery to discuss, via telephone, email, or the contact form.

Delivery Charges:

Headpieces and Gift vouchers

Prices listed include the cost for delivery, for UK mainland deliveries I normally use 2nd class Royal Mail Special Delivery which requires a signature on receipt, however, if you require a faster delivery service, I will do my upmost to accommodate this. An additional fee will be incurred for this offering. Overseas purchases, please contact me to quote for a delivery fee.

Returns

Millinery by Cheryl Cizek strives for absolute customer satisfaction, if there is any element of your purchase you are not entirely satisfied with, please don’t hesitate to contact me via telephone, email, or the contact form.

I will gladly offer a refund if the product is returned as new with tags attached, unworn, without damage, in its original packaging. Due to hygienic reasons hair combs, and hair clips are not returnable. The only other exception to this is bespoke/custom-made orders, which I do NOT accept returns for.

I must be notified within 7 days of receipt of the order and the return must be dispatched with 14 days of receipt of purchase.

The cost to return is met by the buyer, I do recommend due to the value of the headwear a tracked signed for return. I can only refund once the item is back in my possession. Once received I will process your return within 3 days of receipt, to the original payment method.
